Clara Bennett - EN - Hispanic Entrepreneur Initiative

Clara Bennett is the Executive Director of the Boca Raton Airport Authority, where she leads a team of dedicated aviation professionals in the business operations, marketing and development of the Boca Raton Airport.

Clara has more than 28 years of experience as an airport executive. At the Boca Raton Airport Authority, she has developed a $30 million Capital Improvement Plan to enhance facilities and services available to the flying public including the new US Customs and Border Protection Facility, various safety and security enhancements and airfield and access improvements.

Prior to joining the Airport Authority in 2014, Clara served as Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) Manager directing the operation and administration, the 200-accre Airport Industrial Airpark, the John Fuhrer Downtown Helistop and Foreing Trade-Zone #241. She also served as the Deputy Director of the Transportation and Mobility Department, leading efforts to enhance walkability, livability and transit in the City of Fort Lauderdale.

Clara is a licensed pilot and holds a Bachelor Of Science degree in Aviation Management from Florida Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
